The world's largest student ballet scholarship competition is coming to Germany

The internationally well-known ballet competition YOUTH AMERICA GRAND PRIX (YAGP) is taking place in Germany for the first time: from September 30, 2021 to October 3, 2021, young talented dancers can present their skills on one of the most beautiful stages in Berlin - The Admiralspalast. The official registration for the 1st YOUTH GRAND PRIX GERMANY starts on July 20, 2021.

International ballet scholarship program with numerous awards for all participants

At YOUTH GRAND PRIX GERMANY, talented dancers compete in front of a top-class jury in order to secure one of the deserved places for the scholarship program and numerous other awards. The competition is followed by the grand closing Gala with world-famous artists - a unique opportunity for our young talents to gather stage experience alongside world stars.

Whether individual participants, duets or groups - the categories include different dance styles and are divided into ages from 9 to 19 years.

As a non-profit organization, the YAGP has been promoting young talents between the ages of 9 and 19 for the last 20 years and enables the scholarship holders to receive first-class ballet training at one of the world's leading schools. Do you want to know how to train in the master classes? Do you want to get to know and experience the different ballet schools? Then apply for the competition and receive your participation Certificate and get the chance to win scholarships and further awards from our well-known sponsors. So far, 3.5 million Euros have been awarded to more than 100,000 young artists in the form of scholarships for the world's most outstanding dance institutions.

In search of promising young dance talents, YAGP conducts annual auditions, performances and workshops at around 40 locations worldwide. After the United States of America, Australia, Argentina, Brazil, Belgium, Canada, China, France, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Peru and Spain, the event will now take place in Germany for the first time in 2021.

Admiralspalast Berlin
a unique venue with a fantastic stage
The 1st YOUTH GRAND PRIX GERMANY takes place in one of the oldest and most beautiful theaters in Berlin - The Admiralspalast. The theater between the Spree and Unter den Linden has a long tradition that goes back to the 1920s. The stage, equipped with a dance floor from the market leader Harlequin, main sponsor of YGP GERMANY, offers all dancers perfect conditions for a glamorous and safe performance.

Health and Safety
For YGP GERMANY, the health and safety of the dancers is a top priority. Together with those responsible from YAGP and YGP GERMANY, the organizers have created a comprehensive hygiene concept to ensure that all guidelines of the federal government, the state and local administrations, as well as the City and the theater are followed.

Admiralspalast Berlin is located only a few minutes' walk from Friedrichstraße train station in the center of Berlin.

The theater can be reached by S-Bahn (train) and U-Bahn (subway) and buses. The bus stops are located about 50 meters from the Admiralspalast at on Friedrichstraße itself, behind the railroad underpass. You can reach us with the regional connections (RE 1, RE 2, RE 7 & RB 14), with the suburban trains (S1, S2, S5, S25), with the subway line U6, with the streetcar connections M1 & 12 as well as with the bus lines 147 & N6.
